Hectic, hectic, hectic!

Wow! It has been a quiet winter......Until now! We have decided to sell our house on the water. We are tired of cleaning up two acres of property, and we want to spend more time enjoying life. Also the outside of the house needs to be painted every two or three years. It is mostly brick but the overhangs and all of the glassed in porch needs painting every couple years. We have put an offer in on another house that is off of the water and is on .8 acres of cleared land, and it has been accepted. Now we need to list our home. The only trees on the property of the new home are near the property line. Trees are beautiful but cause major clean up problems, as well as mildew on the house. We have been busy painting the inside of our present home and have many minor projects to complete outside which will keep us busy for at least a whole week.

In the meantime Pat's mom came for a visit last Tuesday and got deathly ill. She was rushed by ambulance to Richmond to the Medical College of Virginia, which is almost one hundred miles from here. She has been there now for five days and will remain there until at least Monday. Pat and I have been at the hospital along with the rest of the family almost constantly. Pat's dad can't care for himself which means that she or one of her brothers has to stay with him.

As if this isn't enough, I had promised a friend that I would help him move to SC the first week in April. This move will require three trips and must be completed before the end of April. I will start work again at the marina some time about the 15th of the month which won't leave much time for moving.

And to complicate matters further Pat's son and daughter and their families arrive on Good Friday to spend a week with us. We will be sleeping 8 additional people in our three bedroom home. I will probably have to set up the camper.

Also, I need to get to the marina to get some Aluminum Sulphate in the flower gardens so that I can bring the PH in line for the summer plantings. This will consume one whole day.

We haven't completed our income taxes yet either and that will have to be done also.

And I need to move a sailboat from the East River to my house which will consume a whole day, and I need to get some repairs done on the boat that I am trying to sell so that it will be ready for the spring season.

I am overwhelmed but look at it all as a challenge. Pat has a tendency to get really stressed by something like this. I hope that we can keep it together.
