My book

I finally won the fight with procrastination and inertia. I got my book off to the publisher last Thursday. I spent the longest time trying to prod myself into getting it finished and into the mail. I have no idea why I fought it. I really feel good about having it on it's way.

We make our annual February sojourn to Florida tomorrow. I really look forward to this trip each February. Actually I start looking forward to it in early January. I can't wait to sleep with the windows open for a few weeks. It will be almost March when we return and then April and once again the beautiful season.

It really snowed here from early Saturday morning until late Saturday evening. We have about 10 inches on the ground. I don't even own a snow shovel anymore. I plan on using the solar method of snow removal from now on. It will be all gone by the time that we head north again from Florida.

The temperature is falling rapidly tonight. It has dropped 6 degrees in the last hour and a half. It is 19 at the moment

Once again thousands of Robins are frequenting the trees in our back yard. And I mean thousands. They arrive about 40 minutes before dark and fill the air with their chirping. Minutes before dark they fly down into the hundreds of pines in the woods behind the house. Their numbers increase as spring gets closer. They are a real joy to watch.

We forgot to get more bird seed when shopping the other day. I put the last that we had in the feeders this afternoon. The Chichadees, Juncos, Cardinals, Titmice, Nuthatches and Blue jays will have to fend for themselves for a while
